Bridwell is located in the heart of Devon, one of England’s most beautiful and popular counties.

The estate is situated in the parish of Uffculme, nestled in stunning Mid-Devon countryside. Standing in an elevated position Bridwell commands magnificent views across the Culm Valley and on to the rolling Blackdown Hills. The exquisite landscaped 18th century park surrounding the house provides a haven of peace with an ornamental lake and herd of red and fallow deer roaming freely.

Bridwell is beautifully hidden from public view in the heart of Devon’s glorious countryside. One might say, the estate is a hidden gem.

Nearby towns and villages

The village of Uffculme, adjacent to Bridwell has been inhabited since Saxon times. Situated on the banks of the River Culm, Uffculme boasts an impressive 12th century church, a charming village square and a historic working Woollen Mill Museum – Coldharbour Mill.

Tiverton, a principal town within mid Devon, offering a good selection of facilities and amenities, is less than 10 miles away.

For those seeking sun, sea and sand the charming and unspoilt resorts of Exmouth and Budleigh Salterton (located in an officially designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty), are only half an hour away.

The city of Exeter, with its Medieval cathedral, galleries, theatres, tempting array of shops and outlets, and city airport is within a 25-minute drive, whilst Bristol is little more than an hour away.

Nature lovers will enjoy Exmoor which is a 25-minute drive away offering fabulous walking, spectacular views on a clear day and is the first international Dark Sky Reserve in Europe for the stargazers amongst you.
